Brauwelt (1 December 2023) reported that 'as of this year, all Leffe sold in the UK comes from the group's Samlesbury brewery', without saying which formats. Every retail bottle listing read in 2026 (Tesco 4 x 330ml and 12 x 330ml, Ocado 4 x 330ml, Asda 4 x 330ml and 750ml) prints 'Brewed by: InBev Belgium, Bd Industriel 21, B-1070 Brussels', and the Asda 750ml listing prints Country of Origin Belgium, so the bottles are recorded as imported from Belgium. The Morrisons 500ml listing shows only AB InBev UK Limited's London address and no country. No can listing could be read, so the can, and any draught, may be the Samlesbury product; supply for those formats is not established. Settled 6 September 2026: the can was found. Asda's 440ml can is marked country of origin United Kingdom and 'Brewed for Br. Abbaye de Leffe, Dinant. AB InBev UK Limited', while every bottle listing still prints InBev Belgium, Brussels. The trade report was right about the cans and wrong to say all of it: UK Leffe is split by format, cans brewed in Britain and bottles imported from Belgium.

UK bottles are 6.0%, against 6.6% in Belgium, per the retailer listings and the Grocer's headline on the reduction.

Still partly verified: the Morrisons 500ml bottle listing shows only the AB InBev UK address and no country field, so that pack's origin has not been read, and no can names its brewing site.

Re-read 2026-09-09 across Morrisons, Asda, Sainsbury's and Waitrose: every 4 x 330ml, 12 x 330ml and 750ml bottle listing still names InBev Belgium, Brussels, as brewer or Belgium as origin, so the bottles have not moved to Britain and the Brauwelt claim stays a pointer. The 440ml can (Asda) and the PerfectDraft 6L keg (Morrisons) print country of origin United Kingdom. A 500ml bottle at Morrisons and Sainsbury's names only AB InBev UK Limited with no origin field and no Belgian brew line, so its supply is not established. Strength is split by listing: 6.0% on most packs, 6.6% on Waitrose's 4 x 330ml and on Morrisons' and Waitrose's 12 x 330ml, which suggests some UK bottles are the 6.6% Belgian-market beer; the row keeps 6.0% as the UK figure and the 12 x 330ml and 750ml strengths are left open. Leffe Ruby is not listed at any of the four chains.

The small print on the base of a current can or bottle, giving the producer name and address, would settle this.
