Where is Lech Premium brewed?

Imported, not from the country on the label Partly verified Last checked 9 September 2026

Lech Premium is sold as Polish, but the beer in UK shops is imported from the Netherlands.

Partly verified

At least one of those three claims rests on a secondary source or an inference, a disagreement between sources is still open, or a split supply has a format that has not been read.

Retailer pages could not be read: two Tesco Lech pages and the Asda page are unavailable, and no Lech listing was found at Sainsbury's, Ocado, Morrisons or Waitrose. Ownership by Kompania Piwowarska (Asahi) is general knowledge consistent with the Tyskie label but not verified here for Lech. UK strength, country of origin and importer are all not established pending a readable retailer page or can photo.

Not listed at Ocado in a search on 2026-09-06.

2026-09-09: Bestway lists Lech Premium in 4 x 500ml cans and 500ml bottles, both marked country of origin Netherlands and 'brewed and canned/bottled for Asahi UK Ltd, Woking', at 4.8%. No supermarket listing at Morrisons, Asda, Ocado, Sainsbury's or Waitrose. Held at partly verified because the pack read is a wholesale listing and no grocery pack has been read.

The small print on the base of a current can or bottle, giving the producer name and address, would settle this.

In short

Lech Premium is imported. The UK product is brewed in the Netherlands. That is not the country the branding suggests: it is sold as Polish, but the beer comes from the Netherlands. The UK version is 4.8%; the home-market strength is not established. The brand belongs to Asahi Group Holdings (Kompania Piwowarska). The label says: "Country of Origin: Netherlands. Packed in: Netherlands. Brewed and canned for: Asahi UK Ltd, 1 Forge End, Woking, Surrey, GU21 6DB."

This page is about the packs sold in supermarkets. Draught in pubs can come from a different brewery, and this page does not cover it unless a format table says so.
